Pleasant Details Opens New Clear Bra Installation Center

We are very happy to announce the opening of our second location in Mt Pleasant at 1135 Bowman Rd across from Kmart. The new center will be for our Clear Bra Paint Protection Film installs. This facility allows us to apply our films in a controlled environment away from our detailing operation. We cut all kits in house that are applied to your vehicle with our Xpel DAP software and plotting machine. About Pleasant Details And Its Owners
Pleasant Details was started in 2002 by John Ritenour as a mobile detailing company with one trailer and one employee that quickly grew to five units, eight employees and a physical location. In 2009 Pleasant Details began to refocus on quality vs quantity and restructured. Adapting with the economy, Pleasant Details brought on James Gregorie of Mt. Pleasant as a partner to help take the company to the next level. James Gregorie brings knowledge of the self serve car wash industry along with management and leadership skills that he developed in the U.S. Marine Corps. With John and James working together they transformed a good business into a more focused business concentrating on existing clients and organizing our business model. New goals included a having smaller staff of skilled detailers, offering window tinting, adding clear bra paint protection, expanding local involvement with community events, and continuing to treat our clients better than anyone else. We would like to welcome Zelda Bryant to the Pleasant Details family as our head of sales for Clear Bra Paint Protection and Window Tinting. Zelda has an extensive background in automotive financing and home mortgages in the Carolinas. Zelda has been a longtime customer of ours and was excited about the direction we were moving in the automotive appearance industry. We are very lucky to have Zelda on our team and hope you have the chance to meet her soon. Pleasant Details is pounding out the Clearbra installs in Charleston! We are very happy with our new partnership with Xpel Technologies Paint Protection. We have been having fun using the best software system on the market for cutting patterns. We just wrapped a full front on a Corvette Z06 which means we covered every inch of the paint from the mirrors forward! We even wrapped the edges on the hood and fenders and removed/replaced all emblems for a clean install! You really have to see it in person to appreciate how great it looks! Well you can, The customer is letting us use the vehicle for an upcoming Corvette show in Charleston. We will keep you posted on the details.

We recently applied a clearbra kit on 2010 VW GTI coupe that was white in color. We installed a bikini cut design that flows with the contours of the hood for a sleek install. Car is perfect and his friend was so impressed he wants a kit installed on his Honda coupe.

Water Damage Removal And Odor Control In Cars

Flood damage can do a great deal of harm to your car--not only to the engine, but also to the car's interior, particularly the carpets. Stained, smelly car carpets can not only be unpleasant to live with, but may also signal the presence of mold that can have serious health consequences.

Tips & Warnings
If the flood damage was severe, you may need to replace the carpet and padding, as a serious case of mold is hard to eradicate (and a serious health hazard).

"Or son's car seats were used as a litter box at a garage when they left the windows down while it was there being repaired. We thought we had resolved the problem after cleaning the upholstery, but once we rolled up the windows and the car sat in the hot sun down here in Charleston, NOTHING had changed. We finally found Pleasant Details who used a liquid enzyme product that they actually sprayed and even soaked into the foam of the seats. (they took the seats out to do this) Anyhow - It worked! Every trace of the cat urine smell was removed. I would think it would do the same for a mildew or mold smell.Pleasant Details in Mt Pleasant sells the liquid for the diy type. Hopefully they can help you as much as they helped us with our odor problem. Good luck!"

Odor problems can become a serious issue from small accidents such as spilled milk, excess water, animal urine, and food between seats.

We wanted to let everybody know what we have been doing this spring. It's been fun, but this pollen is driving us crazy. We just finished an event with Mercedes at the local Sprinter Plant in Ladson. We helped detail and maintain vans for the annual sprinter catalog. It was a lot of work but something different from the average car.
